Japanese de-registration and export certificates

As from 1 January 2005, the Japanese Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport have introduced new Japanese documentation for used vehicles exported from Japan.

There are now three new forms and Land Transport NZ will accept any of these forms as an alternative to the existing Japanese de-registration certificate. The acceptable forms are as follows:

From 1 July 2005, the following will be the only documents approved for export of used vehicles from Japan. However, Land Transport NZ will continue to accept all four documents for import into New Zealand until further notice.
